Cheers for posting the link to that video. It has been a real eye opener. . . This deffinately enforces the need for a small home vegetable garden, especially one that is organic. So we can minimise our carbon footprint etc Aquaponics is deffinately the way of the future. |

i stopped watching in the first 20 seconds when he tried to associate a cow with a nuclear bomb. it's perfectly valid that western society eats too much red meat, there's plenty of statistics to prove it you don't need such hyperbole (by his own admission). why can't people just stick to facts and figures to prove their points ??? |

I think the exagerated example (if you take into account the audio) is that both have the potential to change the entire world in a huge way. Who would have thought that the largest GHG producing sector after energy production is live stock production THIRD is the transport |

Yep ... NZ'ed biggest GHG problem is methane... from belching and farting cows and sheep... Farmers are actually taxed per head.... and there's serious research underway to produce "low emission" farm stock.... |

My new million dollar plan.... antacid tablets for cows. Just working on the flavours now.... The best so far is the one that flavours the milk ...... chocolate! Got to get it right quickly though! Before they decide whole-sale slaughter is the answer Better watch out for when they start testing human emmissions... especially if Chinese.... belching is done on purpose to communicate a sense of well-being. The important things we do on this planet..... |

belching CO2 is only 1/20th as bad as farting CH4 |

They actually belch methane while they're eating Steve... not CO2... something to do with theirmultiple stomachs and green vegetation.... |
