| Post subject: | Nutrient deficiencies in Lettuce |
Hi all, I just joined the forum. We are opening a rather large scale aquaponics farm in the future and I'm noticing some yellowing on the older leaves of our lettuce. Also have seen some burnt looking brown edges on some of the leaves. From the limited research I have done I am thinking this is a magnesium deficiency. I was wondering what test kit everyone uses for their aquaponics systems. I would like to test for calcium, magnesium, and potassium but all I can find are saltwater tests. I did not know if those would work in a freshwater system. Thanks |

Post some pics. A lot of the time, brown & burnt along the edges would be Potassium. I think API have fresh water Mag and Calcium test kits. |
