I transplanted some seedlings last week. Beetroot thrives and healthy pea plants, (with a vigorous root system) have curled their toes up one after the other. I run a reasonably high salt system to protect my fish and feel it has impacted the peas. fwiw I transplanted broad beans, also a legume, at the same time. They are hanging in there, but not bounding ahead. On the other hand, lettuce, tommies, brocc, cauli, cabbage, pumpkin, zuchs and greek basil have all thrived. Just thought it was interesting. |
