Recently am facing some issues with Red Oak lettuce, with older growth seemingly rotting off.
I attached 2 pics, 1 showing leaves that have rotten off, and anothet shows leaves starting to be affected. The rest of the plant looks normal (root growth is good and white as can be, younger growth looks crisp).
I have green oak, cos, and other lettuce varieties in the dwc system but it seems to affect only red oak. I use sponge in netcups for the dwc, could it be a case that water is getting to the stems and soaking the leaves, thus resulting in such rot? I also have a misting system in the greenhouse.
pH in the 6.7-6.8 range, ammonia, nitrite looks good and nitrates in the 50ppm range.
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
