it is, but it has been 'cleaned' (processed)... so much so that it wont germinate |

I got some brown rice to germinate with small root starting to come out, but left the experiment too long without refreshing the water and it started to ferment.... Also bought some black wild rice to try but ended up eating it all... |

Wild rice isn't rice at all....it's a grass. If I had some, I'd do the same as you EB......I'd eat it. |

Would you really want to grow rice in an aquaponics setup. I think there are hundreds of more productive things to do with the system - though I realise it is fun to grow different things. I thought that this thread was going to be about feeding rice to the fish as part of their feed. Is there any benefit in that? |

Dunno, would be much lower protein and higher carb...........unless it was germinated maybe. I might be wrong, but i think that most germinating seeds are higher in protein than the ungerminated seed |

I guess I want to just to say I did... then I can use the seed and the rest goes into the worm farm |

It works for me! So we should try germinating the seed first before using as feed hey... have to keep that in mind! |
