I have some kale and bok choy growing in an aquaponic system that aren't looking too healthy. I'm finding that the leaves start showing these light coloured dry spots, and sometimes leaves are drying out in the plant too.

Any advice?

It's probably a deficiency. What part of the plant did these leaves come from - better yet maybe a shot of two of the whole plant - might want to resize the image a bit smaller though :thumbright:

Photo and details of system will help also

Purple colour indicates phosphorus which is odd
Very low ph or way too much iron can trigger this but unlikely I havnt seen phosphorus deficiency

Are plants under lights / are they suitable lights
What are you feeding fish with / goldfish flakes offer little for the plants
Do you have enough airation
How old is system
Water tests , nitrate / Ph

What are your temps up there. It’s my understanding that temperature can affect phosphorus uptake as well.
