H guys this is my 4th batch of Bak choi's the first 3 grew very well apart from some big ants eating the last crop.... I notice the leaves curling down and it's feeling hard and brittle to the touch... I was asuming that the rain that fell these last 3 months throw my PH off from 6.8 - 5.1 I brought up the PH to about 7 in 3 days ( don't know if that was to fast to shock the plants) then it rained again PH dropped to 6 i left it the for a couple days to bring it back up slowly now it's around 6.6.... would PH swings cause he leaves to curl like that. some pic's added for reference.

I did some research and it seems like it is a combination of to fast PH swings and a grow light being to close to it. Leaves curl under intense heat, and become brittle in bad PH. |

They look pretty decent, I'd say if you have tested the nutrients and everything is alright, then the above post is probably pretty right. pH definitely shouldn't swing so much. What kind of lights are you using and how far away are they from the plants? |
