Post subject:  What bugs or mites

Hi to all again saw these today when i was feeding the fish what kind of bugs or mites are these and how do i deal with them... and also what is happening to my peppers they got black stems and not growing or do they grow slower than other plants.... pics are included....

Pretty hard to tell on the tomato but I'm pretty sure they're either mealy bugs or aphids. Both are soft bodied insects - I'd try the chili-garlic spray (recipe is around here somewhere) first.

I'd look for spider mites on the underside of the leaves on the pepper plant especially if your air temps are hitting around 80 F. They are barely visible to the eye so a magnifying glass would help. Sometimes you can see them against a white sheet of paper if you knock some off. The dead area on the one leaf was probably an injury but could have been due to a fungal infection which might fit with the stem looking as it does :dontknow:
