First, we'll need to get you to tell us what kind of unusual plants you've got to grow in your aquaponics systems?
Sound like fun?

Ill play.. sure ill lose compared to some of the others though haha!

2 options,
Number 1 : avocado tree! started from seed and germinated 2 shoots which I have twined up eachother. Currently about 1.5 foot tall.

Number 2 is the more interesting one, a Japanese Goya (bitter melon / bitter gourd). If you have never seen them they are quite unusual! The fruit is shaped kinda like a cucumber but covered in lumps and bumps. common in india/asia, but not so much in aus. Everything else is normal I guess aha

Aloe Vera and Paw Paw
Paw Paw in Canberra is impossible of course, it germinated from a seed and I left it there. Didn't check recently, I am sure it is dead by now.

How did the Aloe Vera do? I'd try it.

Aloe Vera is growing nicely. I saw it first on Rob Bob's videos and thought would be nice to have.
