I'm not sure what's going on but I have a few questions What kind of onions are these? How long since you started the bed? I noticed you have high temps over 100 F. Did they start having troubles when the temp went up or has it been this way for a while? Is there any shade over this grow bed? Right now I'm thinking its a combination of transplant shock and temperature. Usually plants do pretty well transitioning into AP so I might be wrong . It wouldn't surprise me if some of these recover after making the adjustment.

Hi Scotty, Thanks for the reply, My reply are Quote: What kind of onions are these? They are Shallot https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shallot Quote: How long since you started the bed? I have started 6 weeks back, very much new to the domain, my intention is to try out and see what plants can grow in UAE climate, with or without shade, the present AP setup has shade Quote: I noticed you have high temps over 100 F. Did they start having troubles when the temp went up or has it been this way for a while? I also have this conclusion that temperature is the culprit, the AP is under the shade, but the surrounding temperature may have affected it. Now the atmospheric temperature in 103F, my strategy is to find the correct plants and vegetables which can grow with shade or without shade here All other plants are fine, my curry leaves initially fro 2 weeks it was not giving new leaves, now new leaves are coming out, I have some coriander, which is also going well. So We can make sure the temperature is the culprit thanks Joseph John |

Sounds like just wait and see what happens is the best course. It may also be that the shallots weren't planted early enough but might work for you starting from an earlier date in the spring or the fall before. |
