Post subject:  Are These Lettuces Growing Right?
Here are some lettuces I have growing. The seed packet says Redina Lettuce, so red leaf lettuce. I initially had them under a grow light, then moved them into nft and had them under LED's that didn't work too well, then switched back to T5 grow lights. Not sure if that all makes a difference, but since this is my first time growing them, I have no clue what they should look like. Do these look fine. The picture of the plants first in nft was taken exactly 3 weeks before the photo of the plants with the new lights.

Looks like there is not enough light for them so the growth is elongated and spindly looking. They may recover with the T5's if they haven't been there long (Bulbs are brighter initially so if these are older bulbs it might matter).

+1 for Scotty. I would get reflectors for the florescent bulbs you have. Most of the light is radiating away from the plants - direct it downward. Pay attention to the light color temperature - for leafy greens it should be in the 5500-6500K range. Based on your pictures-some of them are producing yellowish light which could be contributing to the stretching. Also, they need to be as close to the plants as possible...

Thanks for the input! I'll definitely look into getting reflectors. The picture of the new lights was 4 days ago, the first day I put the new lights up. I'll upload a new picture later today. 3 of the new lights are 6500K and the yellower one was when I had some pepper plants.
