Perpetuitas,

Waverley Council's Fact Sheet on Coastal Rosemary says, "No.":

FACT SHEET: WESTRINGIA FRUTICOSA

Quote:
Coastal rosemary is not edible but belongs to the same family as the culinary plants Mint , Rosemary, Lavender ,Sage, Lemon Balm Marjoram and the perfume plant Patchouli.

I didn't see anything about it being poisonous, so maybe it really is edible but just not tasty or popular? There are some well established jungle survival tricks for trying unknown plants to see if they really are edible. Give it a try and let us know if you don't die?
