my tomatoes are riddled with these black bugs.

does anybody know what they are and how do i kill them?

I don't think I've seen them but wouldn't be surprised if we have something like them :dontknow: .

My best guess is they are a type of flea beetle. Probably giving you shotgun holes on the leaves?

they only seem to go for the fruit, leaves are untouched.

I guess something bores a hole and lays the eggs in the fruit?

Still wouldn't surprise me if they are flea beetles. They go for fruit as well and apparently attack early in the year which is where you are at. I don't think they're laying eggs in the fruit but might be worth a look - normally it looks like flea beetle eggs would be on the under surface of the leaves (along with about 5 million other types of critters).
