Hi, what are the best plants to grow through the winter months in the Perth hills? |

peas, broad beans, broc, cabbage, cauli, ( though broad beans make a mess in the grow bed with their roots!), plus I prefer to try and grow nitrogen fixing plants in the soil where possible -seems silly growing them in AP unless you have no soil beds. |

How does garlic go in AP? |

Had ok success with garlic, though its a long crop and I have my suspicions Ap grown garlic does not store so well. It may also upset any peas if you plant it close to them. I grow my main crop in my wifes rose garden now, it makes it useful and the roses get on with the garlic. |
