Post subject:  Cold-resistant plants

Hi, I'm thinking of improving my indoor system a bit and it'll involve pulling out most of my plants(mostly tomatos, which have completely taken over everything). My system runs in my bedroom, and it tends to stay relatively chilly in there. I'd like to grow some herbs and vegis, but I'm not sure what is cold-resistant. Also, I'd prefer things that don't grow very tall, as I don't have a lot of room and my tomato plants sort of turned into a thick unmanageable jungle.

Does anybody have any recommendations?

I like to grow Cole plants in winter, mainly cabbage. I have grown them outside, here in Florida, during the winter. II like cabbage because they are nitrogen monsters. I dont know how they would do indoors, but I think they would do well.
