Dipel will sort it

Ive just ordered plastic butterflys from Ebay
you glue them on sticks (bamboo skewers or metal coat hangers) and put them around the garden beds
Cabbage moths dont like to lay eggs where they think another moth has

Dipel/Thuricide. Snags- let me know if the decoys work. I read you need quite a few to be effective.

In the mean time - your fish would probably enjoy a little green wriggly snack.....

I have been throwing the little buggers in the tank for the trout not sure if there eating them though I think there too used to pellets all the time

My fish will ignore their pellets for juicy caterpillars. I threw a big (4-5" long) hornworm in once - I think he ended up being drawn and quartered by the fish - i've never seen so much splashing. Served the bugger right for all the damage he did.

I put some decoy butterflies in last year, they made no difference, with the Cabbage Whites happily landing quite close to them to lay eggs on the broccoli, cauliflower etc. Dipel is the only sure fire method of dealing with them.
My trout didn't show much interest in the caterpillars, but the chooks sure do.

Dill attracts wasps that attack them
Tomatoes deter them
Sage and Rosemary distracts them

Another good point- don't kill wasps. They will kill your caterpillars.
