Hey all, My barrelponics is doing great. All plants growing twice as fast as the toms in my test soil garden. And that is without fish!. I just had the plants growing with water alone and added a capfull of seasol once a week or so. So now I have 3 goldfish added just yesterday. The wife said to call them Huey, Duey and Loue. But I prefer poo, fart and burp as this will be the process I need. Anyway, back to the heading for this post. I have about 30 custard apples in potting mix along with 5 or so avocados and some sweet potatoes for the slips. I have been reading about growing mangoes from seed and will try that in december when they fruit but would like to try growing some from cuttings in the mean time. So now i am looking for someone in the Toowoomba area with a mango tree who will be good enough to allow me to get some small cuttings. I have read they don't always work from cuttings and the root systems are weak but I still want to have a go. In return I will swap an avo or custard apple if and when they grow. I live in Gowrie Junction but don't mind a bit of travelling in the darling downs area. |

If you don't have any luck in your local area Greg, your welcome to take some of mine. I'm down near Lismore. |

.Hi Charlie. Thanks for the very kind offer. I'll do some research on how cuttings survive in the post. Or I might just pop down for a short holiday. I like Lismore. Spent a few school holidays there in the day. I feel a road trip coming on. |

I know nothing about cuttings so I'll let you do the work there but I'm happy to post or I'm also around the goldcoast a fair bit so can catch up with you there but your always welcome here mate. I always love catching up with a fellow APer to talk shop. Beer fridge is always full. |

Full beer fridge. Better keep that to ourselves. I can't seem to find anything about posting cuttings at the moment but will do some more research tomorrow. It might be an issue from interstate but we'll see. Meeting up at the coast might be a plan. Girls in bikinis, cold beer, talking ap, swapping cuttings. sounding better by the minute.... I can see this getting out of hand and turning into an annual festival...
