Post subject:  Propagating celery

Gday All
Just thought I'd pass on a trick I learned. I had a celery take over a DWC raft, rather than destroying the raft I cut it back hard to the 50mm net pot then put it back in the tank.

Soon it started to shoot around the old stem.

After letting these grow for a few weeks, I then made cuttings of these shoots & placed them in 70mm pots for the NFT.
A few months on & these shoots are full grown plants.

After taking another full head of celery of the same 50mm pot I have again made cuttings from it. Not sure how many times this can be done before the original plant will go to seed but by then maybe I can do the same with the next crop.
Hope this may be of use to someone.
Regards
GTK
