Maybe dipel? Works well with green catapillars (cabbage moth)

Hand pick 'em and feed to the fish. If damage is severe head the plants and train a new sucker. I had to go through hornworms this year as well. Treat with dipel as Charlie mentioned.

Now, if i can just get those blasted stinkbugs to find the pheromone traps, the toms will be perfect!

nah insect poo is great stuff.
the best soils in the world have a high degree of insect poo in them.

That's good and bad the lil bastards destroyed my prettiest tomato plant but their huge volume if poo is beneficial to the whole growth process. Sheesh.

I think Charlie is right, a spray of dipel (BT) with a few follow up sprays in case any other eggs were layed in the following weeks should do the trick. Works for me everytime

What exactly is dipel? Also has anyone had any luck with destruction of flying insects using a bug zapper?

As mosquito dunks are Bacillus thuringiensis (or Bt) geared to kill mosquito larvae, BT is geared to kill caterpillars. The great thing is that it only kills the larvae of the insects it is geared to. I will also put Gnatrol in my system to control gnats.

When do the moths that lay these little buggers come out? Does anyone know around what month in the southeast US? I'll plan to keep my greenhouse closed up at night to hopefully prevent their visit.
