Hey guys,
Had a little search on the phone n got annoyed so sorry if there is a thread about this here.

Is there a list of plants that do well or suffer when a system is run constant flood?
Pros and cons to CF?

I seem to be able to keep the water quality better when the system is run CF.

Many things fine but the Zuccini I had in my constant flood bed didn't do as well as the two in the FnD bed.

One thing I have noticed when I run my GB's in CF mode some things seem to do better with a slightly lowered water level (compared to F&D) or a little more media above the water line so that only the lower 1/2 of the roots are in the water.

Strawberry's & Beetroot are a couple that come to mind

Check out the BYAP Trials thread. They have done a comparison between F&D and CF. It's a good read. With the system you have CF would be fine because of the continual Water Surface Agitation in your FT from you GB drainage providing plenty of DO.

I have only had CF and wouldn't change as it has worked well. Like mentioned by Blind Freddy finding the right height under the media surface helps as some plants rot if it is too high… if you have multiple beds you can keep different water heights in them for different crops..
