This is a quote from the Cornell University Gardening Resources:

"To help reduce disease, do not plant cabbage or other cole crops in the same location more than once every three or four years."

Of course they are talking about soil gardens but would the same principle apply to an Aquaponics system in media based grow beds?

Would having red worms help control any "soil" based pests. I would suspect not since they feed on decomposing matter.

I wouldn't have thought you'd need to rotate as you're continually flushing the system.
