Ripped out almost all my tomatoes and basil yesterday plus harvested a whole stack of other stuff.

I now need to replant.

This is what I have on the list so far:

Beetroot
Red Cabbage
Kale
Leeks
Rainbow Chard
Broccoli
Cauliflower
Bok Choi
Pak Choi

Any more suggestions?

Peas, beans and brussel sprout.

Apart from snow peas, do many people grow normal peas? I know they are nicer right from the shell, but after spending 5 hours straight (on far too many occasions) as an apprentice shelling them with surprisingly little to show, I couldn't imagine growing them to shell now.

And lettuce to add you your list.

I'm also trying out some cold region varieties of tomatoes, i.e. Siberian tomatoes.

I grew some purple peas last winter, but they suffered from ongoing Powdery Mildew and I gave up and pulled them after harvesting a few peas, as Eco Fungicide didn't control it. Next time I think I'll plant them where they will get wet, clearly PM thrives in dry conditions.
Average temp for 24 hours yesterday was 6.3C, and it has only managed to get to 8C max today, so I will probably pull my toms if the sun doesnt return soon. I've been pulling off all the new flowers and smaller toms recently with the aim of geting a few more to ripeness, there are still a few kg of green fruit on the plants, and it's only 2kg to go to make it to 150kg for the season! I've already put in spring onions, chard, cauli, brocolli and beetroot.

Winter is coming.
