I just ordered an automatic fish feeder online thinking it would be big enough to feed my fish while I went away for Easter but my fish would eat the whole container full in 2 days. Can anyone advise me on an auto fish feeder that would be big enough to feed 50 Jade Perch the brand and where to get it please. I just wasted $40. Thanks |

Can't help you with that but someone else might be able to help if you told them how long you are going away for and how much your fish eat per day. On the other hand do you know that you can just leave your fish and not feed them without doing them any harm? |

We were contemplating making one then found a Pondmax. My brother uses it to feed his gold fish ,it holds enough for a week so just gets the neighbour to fill it once a week.It can be programed to feed from one to four times a day,is battery powered and costs $140.He has had it working twelve months and no problems.Pondmax is a fairly common pond pump so I guess that you should be able to find one fairly easily. It might pay to set it to feed just a bit less than normal to save the problem of over feeding when they are off their food. |

If you are only going away for a week or two, leave the fish and don't use a feeder... |

OK thanks for that info I didn't know I could leave them for that length of time, will check out the auto fish feeder for when I go to Canada for 6 weeks. |
