Has anyone tried Pitahaya (Hylocereus arten) or strawberry pear? I have my Pitahaya cactus since 4 years in soil. I thought: „cactus“ it might need sunshine and less water. So I moved it to a sunny place and…ignored it all the years and so did it. 2 weeks ago I rearranged my garden, I moved it to halfshadow, gave stronger soil (laterit) and started water 2 times a day. And in just 14 days, the cactus grew and doubled its 4y-size of 1 ft. There are now 2 parts grown new, big like an elbow and 3 litte ones. It might grow well in AP ? I’ll try it in august. It definately need something to climb on… |

I know things like Dragon fruit grow quite well in AP. I've got one in, and it's doing very nicely so far. |
