Is it ok to put a floating bed in the fish tank itself?

I would think that between solids accumulating on the roots and fish nippling at them, it might be more of a raft to threaten the underperforming plants with :dontknow: .

As for the fish nipping the roots....depends..... trout are not vegetarian!
it looks they are doing well the plant on floating shrimp pond!
I think they do medicinal herbs and plants for Chinese remedies.

Koi are herbivorous.... but it does not seem to bother this guy and his beautifully designed AP gardens
