yea i would lean towards pumpkin, seed casing is too large for watermelon.

you really need to wait for the first set of leaves though.

Well I've transplanted a bunch of them into the system so we will see.

Based on seed size I wouldn't rule out watermelon.

Planted a few pumpkin seedlings a while back and they looked similar

Pumpkin is generally top of the list for compost heap germination but it doesn't look "right".

Yep... it looks like a pumpkin seed to me, but I did think the cotyledons and stem don't look so pumkin-ish... we might have to start running a book!

And of course there's pumpkins and then there's pumpkins.. One of the main reasons I picked watermelon is because of the seed and seed leaf size.. It's certainly not a Queensland blue or other large pumpkin, they tend to have big wide cotyledons could be a smaller variety though... :think:
