Heh guys I've been trying to grow lettuce ect they have grown a tiny bit but the keep rotting at the base between the root and the plant.... Also my strawberries started to flower then the flowers just wilted any ideas ???

On the lettuce issue I would hazard a guess you are flooding your GB's too deep, I keep the max flooded water level on my systems 40-50mm from the surface of the gravel, when I've run it at 25mm I've had issues with evaporation and seedlings damping off, as well as the leaves on the underside of established lettuce plants developing botrytis and rotting.

Plants will also rot, even with the max flooded water set to 40-50mm, if you are running constant flood but don't have enough oxygen in the water and/or enough water turnover through the GB.

In regards to the strawberry flowers not setting fruit, it could be a number of things, not enough sunlight each day, lack of Magnesium or Potassium in the water, salt in the system.

P.S. With all the rain we've had in the last couple of months the surface of your clay/gravel may be staying wet and causing the rotting... respite is on the way according to the BOM
