Hi All

Is it true one can simply 'float' mint plants on the FT water and it will grow?

Cheers

Ken

I recon mint would grow in moist air. A floating bed would work fine I think

for some unknown reason last year my spearmint went , well, mint. But this year I'm struggling to get it to grow both in a soil pot and floating pot

My original AP IBC system has mint and a lemony-smelling herb in it - (I think it might be lemon basil by the leaf shape) and that lemon stuff is the only thing I've ever seen compete successfully with mint. The mint took the front half of the GB and the other one got the back half - it rises about 50cms into the air and then 'falls' 2/3rds the way down the side of the IBC.

The mint would be the same except it stupicly took the front and so gets regular garden shears cutbacks so I can get to the FT.

I've never heard of mint dying off - every time I've seen it growing the telling is of how much work goes into stopping it taking over the entire garden.

I have it growing in a largish pot and some potatoes that came up in there saw the mint and climbed out of the pot scared. Yeah mint is a plant that will grow into a monster

CAN MINT REALLY DIE?

I thought my mint was dead after six months of drying out, but after a few weeks in the loop it has come back from the dead.
