I am new to aquaponics. I started my IBC system in April. I have a flood and drain main bed and a nutrient flow attached. The fish tank is below and I have about 20 2 inch goldfish and 5 3 inch kio. I live in NJ and we have had a cold spring. But I noticed last week some brown spots on the lettuce leaves. I picked those off and today I noticed more spots. I don't see insects so I'm thinking the water. What do I do is there a particular test kit? I thought these systems where self sustaining? Thanks for any help Dave |

Sounds like bacterial leaf spot, and no, you can't really test for it.. Not really sure what you mean by self sustaining.. |

do you have a water test kit? - API master freshwater test kit contains tests for ph, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate.. these are what you need to keep an eye on |
