You can grow quite a large amount of vegetables with a small amount of fish. What if you want to have more fish? (Using proper bio filtration to feed rate ratio) Is there a plant that is the King of nitrate uptake? Faye's ferns look like they are transplanted direct from the amazon or from the Jurassic period. Would they consume large amounts of nitrates to help balance such a system? Duckweed perhaps? Java Fern? |

I wouldn't worry too much. Plants will suck up the nitrates at an amazing rate. You will just have very fast growing plants |
