Any ideas on some Lettuce that holds up better in high heat? Just ordered some Butter Crunch to give it a try.

oakleaf and cos do very well for me all summer. Even though they run up to seed early they still produce a large amount of large leaves (instead of being flat on the ground they are arranged vertically). Any slight bitterness (particularly those near the top) goes after a day or two in the fridge. I even harvest the flower bud to eat

Next summer i will keep growing these 2 varieties but will keep trying different varieties to see what else works. a friend has has success over summer with the deer tongue variety.

I live in Florida and I grow Little Gem, it's a small romaine type with excellent taste. It's very heat tolerant.
