Hi all, I'm just getting started and need some help. I'm setting up a small system on the back patio and need to find some plants that will grow in the shade, 100% shade time in winter and 90% of time in summer, and also in a full time flooded bed. So far the only thing I've tried to grow in this location is Pennywort and while it does well in summer, it tends to back right off in winter. This is more an ornamental system than a practical one. The fish are goldfish and a colony of Paradise fish which I'm getting ready to sell off and while I'm happy to harvest food from the growbeds if I can, it doesn't matter if I can't. |

My very very first system was in full time shade, maybe 1 hour a day sunlight. I couldnt get anything to grow sorry. Maybe some herbs or something. Let google be your way... |
