How do you do it, just slice and put on the toast? I am getting lots of romas right now. we made a pizza sauce out of them yesterday and it came out real good.

Yep, with salt and pepper. 2 serves of veges within 20 mins of waking up

Shield bugs came in droves to my toms, i just picked them off by putting my hand under them n bumping them off then quickly squashing. Only got sprayed once n didnt really lose any to them

I envy you Jackfrost! I have failed many times to grow tomatoes. When I plant them in the soil I get early and late blight. When I plant them in the Aquaponics they just seem to shrivel and die. They were going well as seedlings in a coir medium set into the growbed during spring but after the trout were harvested they all died. I planted new ones and they haven't taken off and seem to shrivel up and die.Image where did u get the Roma seeds and do you have any advice ie what is it about your system that seems to be doing so well :-)

Greenhorn -- any reason you still have the seedlings in a pot? In my experience tomatoes like to SPREAD their roots and a pot will severely restrict this from happening.

Also have you put some chelated iron into your system?

Thanks nebbian. I've left them in pots in coir as opposed to the clay balls which get really hot on the surface..especially during the period where the water drains. The coir on the other hand stays cool and damp the whole time. I will however take some out, put iron chelate in the system and hope for the best. :-)
