You can try a dilute milk spray on it Stu, roughly 1 part milk to 10 parts water, there are many different sites that mention it.

A 1-3% solution of hydrogen peroxide works effectively as well, spraying a mist before the heat of day so it doesn't burn the leaves. That is what we use on our cukes and tomatoes in the greenhouse, sometimes in rotation with Kumulus(wettable sulphur), but I don't suggest that.

Monya, been doing a bit of research on problems associated with GHs, this seems to be another one that could be caused by higher humidity - now looking at modifying my GH, raising the plastic skirt by about a metre and replacing that part with a bit of shade cloth to allow better air flow.

Something like what Aussieponics is doing Check here

I think that extra height is important Les, If there was plastic that could be rolled down to ground level overnight to keep the cold breeze out, that would be perfect IMHO

I would only need the sides down during winter - I think that is 2 weeks in August/Sep each year

My trouble is trying to keep it as hot as possible for the water temp but lowering the humidity, which is causing plant growth problems - WIPM

My place is down to 7 some nights already Les. Isn't it cold there at night?

vb, just trying to highlight the difference in weather to Monya and why I migrated from Adelaide many years ago.

Air temps haven't been that low here yet, still just using a sheet on the bed for cover of a night. My fish tank water has not been <22c of a morning.

Is that 7 or 17c?. Bris min temps have normally been 15-17c

To be honest I am not sure. It is something my wife told me. It is bloody cold though. I will put the digital thermometer out, which records min and max temps.

We have had it as low as -4 at our place in winter. Jades will not be happy with that.
