Were going mad, looking locally for plans or seeds of Lycium barbatum (Goji Plants)
Got lucky when a VAYL (Very Agreeable Young Lady) in a small nursery said that some
Health stores do sell Goji berry Juice and also dried Goji berries.
"Dried Goji berries"!!!
Next day bought a jarful, soaked some, planted the seeds
and now have plants some already two feet tall.
Needed to find if there is possibility for them becoming a weed before taking them to the flowering and fruiting stage,
but today, when looking for a testing kit found them o sale in a hydro shop.
Not restricted or prohibited in Vic. Don’t know other states.

Don't know about the legality, but I've been growing for a couple of years and I know of another half dozen people around town doing the same.

SS, don't know if you know.... but it's actually a form of boxthorn....

used extensively for hedges in the UK.... known as "Lord Argyles Tea Tree" and in NZ.....

Saw heaps of it as a kid in NZ.... never really thought of eating it or making tea from it....

Also known as Chinese Wolfberry.... market hype often calls it "Tibetan Goji Berry".... doesn't grow in Tibet....

If you've never seen it fruit (below)....the Wiki link is a good one

You bet.... but MUST be ripe....

All the "rage" in health shops/mags at the moment.....

Couple of years ago it was the Tahitian Noni Berry....

Next year it'll probably be the dingle berry LOL

ROZ, it is one of few pics on internet I saw that got me so excited,

See that crop, imagine the juice or jam, maybe wine or something stronger,
as long as it isn’t poisonous.

And a bush as tough an old goldie.

J7au, thanks for the “Noxious weeds”, that put my mind at ease.
