this is a little bit of a competition and education section for those who are interested :)

I'll post a few pictures of bugs that live in the creeks around here, and folks can have a guess as to what they are.

Ummmmmmm.... Number one a damselfly larvae.

Number 2 no idea..

3 looks like a tick, but then it also looks like it has 8 legs, do ticks have 8 legs? Is it a spider of some sort perhaps?

2. Sleeping-bag Caddisfly larvae - Family Calamoceritidae

3. Water Mite - Order Acarina

I'll have to find some more for you :)

oh yeah, the mite is related to ticks and spiders. all have eight legs :) that little red beastie is about 1mm across

Jeez - they got harder quick !

First one looks like the leg of something

Second one looks like the foot of a snail on glass (of course the presence of hair and what looks like legs/antennae mean I'm REALLY wrong)

Third looks like part of a fly


None of these are backed by much confidence at all.
