Compare the pot beetroot to the AP beetroot. soil beetroot is doing so much better! Both from the same punnet, AP has had Seasol, iron etc added. Soil beetroot gets a water every 2nd day if it's lucky. It isn't even in potting mix just soil from the garden (hence the weeds starting to grow). What's wrong with the AP beetroot?

Years ago I heard Peter Cundall say that boron is very important for beetroot? |

Yep and I have that on video  It got me searching, from which I discovered that we have boron in the fish feed, and I believe there may be traces in seasol as well.How many and what type of fish are you growing Gorotsuki, could it be that the fish are not eating much, and are small and therefore what is going in to the system is very minimal? |

9 month old system, 28 silver perch largest about 25cm, constant flood. BYAP 3mm feed. I actually had an earlier batch of beetroot which are barely golfball size after 8 months. The pic is of my new growbed |

i have tried beetroot in my AP before and didnt have much luck either Cheers pete |

Worked in mine last year and still have jars of preserved in the shed fridge so not growing it this year. In constant flood I would lift the plants and have only the roots in the water line |

Mine grew fine last year when my beds were brand new. They took a while to grow, but tasted good

feed levels? Ours have all grown pretty well in the past.. |
