I ask because I really want to grow them but from reading the forum everyone seems to be salting to 4-7ppm at some point which as I understand it will kill my strawberries... Am I correct in my assumption? |

The only other time people may salt to that level... is to combat fin rot or bacterial problems... But that's usually as a reaction to problems that relate more to general water quality, stocking and filtration issues... Generally, other than to perhaps combat nitrite issues in a new system, or one just stocked.... you shouldn't really have to salt a system at all... or certainly not regularly... |

I grow strawberries in my system and they do far better than the ones in my soil garden. No salt at all. I had added trace amount to my system once and they didn't like it one bit! |
