@Gunagulla - As far as i can tell potassium deficiency. I have since been adding one small pinch to my system, and i feel that it is not accurate. What is the correct amount to add if it is pure KNO3 to a liter of FT water?

Regards

Impossible for me to say, what are your Nitrate levels and pH? If already high Nitrates, you dont want to be adding more.
Are you using it as a foliar spray?

@Gunagulla - Currently it is for knowledge purposes. Currently my system with the GBs being UV damaged and me being busy with my new baby is waiting for a system upgrade/re-model when some free time comes around.

I have been using it as foliar spray as well as adding it directly into my FT with some seasol and iron chelate.

Only thing left in my system currently are a pair of marbled goby, 5 small pots of mint and a ginger plant.

Regards

In your situation I would only be using it as a foliar spray, since you have so few plants, probably try a proportion of 2 teaspoons in a litre to start, and spray every couple of days and see if you get any improvement over a week. Given how few plants you have, you'd probably only want to mix up 1/2 a teaspoon in 250ml at a time.

Hey Guys,

Quick question. For the Potassium Nitrate powder, can we assume that there is a standard concentrate? I managed to obtain some from a local drug store but they have no idea what the concentrate is. If so what is a safe dosage to be used in my FT per liter of water to fix my deficit problem?

Regards

For 100 liters, 2.25g of Potassium Nitrate will raise the Potassium 10ppm and Nitrate 3ppm
