I planted an avocado in my system. Sprouted it in my main media bed, then moved it to it's own dutch bucket so it could get more light. They do say it can take up to 10 years to bear fruit, but I can always graft it when it's trunk gets bigger.

I'm growing an avocado tree in my system much for the same reason I have cacao seedlings - it's interesting to try.

Zackery the reason I want to give it a go. Just to see what happens. And I'm too lazy to change the water every other day when my aq is doing that already. :notworthy:

I have been watching vids on grafting a fruiting tree onto a seed grown rootstock and it seems straight forward. Some of the vids state the grafted tree can fruit in a few years. :occasion9:

Another vid had many types of avo ( A and B and flavours) on the same tree. :naughty:

Even more interesting is the fruit cocktail tree with up to six different fruits on the same tree.

Fish and salad for tea with fruit salad for desert.
