Might want to switch over to bacon for bait to catch peoples.

Doesn't Thailand have a large Muslim population?

I thought Buddhism was the majority? No idea though, just guessing. Either way bacon wouldn't be on the menu.
Would be good for catching those pesky Farang Aussie tourists who are cluttering up the place and generally making themselves a nuisance though...

Tried the barrel traps, rats would not touch the bait. Do you know if you have to lock the spinning bottle for a while to get them use to walking out on it? The rat zaps are supposed to work well, I'll keep you posted...

I caught a rat with my rat zapper that was so big his whole body didn't fit into the enclosure. That was a proud day.

Well I finally got another rat this morning in the new trap. Very large male. I'm sure there are more :upset:

Another one this morning.

Another big male.

Its a black plastic uber snap back trap that the missus bought before I started this thread. The wooden ones cost about $4 this one was $15.

Guess what bait I used...

I've been using Ratsac baits around my AP system for months with no issues (and no rat or mouse problems either)- the blue ones in the wax square that you screw down so they cant take it away. The rat zapper caught a few, but they got smart, and it hasn't caught any in a very long time. They also got wary of the wooden and black plastic snap traps, which also worked initially, then were useless. I've also tried the plastic yellow and blue square tubes with the lid that closes after they walk in, htey caught a few mice, but they also became ineffective after a while, which is why we resorted to Ratsac.
I haven't had any rodent problems[1] since, and I do keep an eye out for dead mice and rats in the FT, ST and GBs.

[1] apart from the rabbit that chewed a bit from the side of a pumpkin!

What I was advised was to change traps. Once they stop working put the old ones away and don't use them for ~3 months +

A timely discussion, I noticed yesterday that a field mouse has taken up residence in the UPS I'm using as a backup system for the air pump. Not surprising really as its warm and dry and next to the rabbit hutch for takeaway's. Think I'll start my campaign with a snap trap as I've used them with good success before.
