Maxicrop I think is the trick here in the US. You want the stuff that is just seaweed or seaweed and Iron. You do not want the extra Nitrogen

I just got some Maxicrop (the original stuff that is .1 - 0 - 1 )and was wondering about how much to use per some given amount of water in a system.

I ran across this website from a chicken forum and it made me wonder...

http://www.edibleplants.com/wepnut_frames.htm

This lists edible plants and their nutrient values. And, dandelion greens show 14,000 mg of potassium... now it doesn't say for how much but it is the highest quantity of all the plants listed. So... if the fish will eat the dandelions, wouldn't that be a way to add potassium to the system?

Weeds are wonderful food. I grow some deliberately even for salads. I will try some dandelion leaves on my fish.... and me! :D Let you know....

I can say that our tilapia love to eat the leaves off of sweet potato vines, southern pea plants, basil, and a few other plants we have tossed to them.
