VB, he copper sulfate is for a tiny bit of copper for the plants. There are no other sources for it in the system. I won't add it too regularly.

Steve, I can definitely vouch for that seller, hehe... The only thing is thermite isn't as exciting as the videos make out. Unless you make a cup full of it, muhahaha!

Anouther question I have about adding nuts to the system , is I go through a rapid evaporation period. So I have been adding nuts everytime i top up the tank. Today would have just started hitting the 30 oC mark and its only going to keep getting hotter up to the 50 oC if not higher. So 3000 lt of water is evaporating in about 10 days max, which is cauing all sorts of problems as i am finding it hard to keep the water levels topped up on a daily basis, with standing water, and have been all this time putting the hose into the tank to top it up. Need to fix that part , but havent lost a heap of fish since the system cycled at the start of set up.

So the question being am I adding too many nuts to the system too often?? i THINK I am, :violent3: might hurt the plants maybe.

Yep - which is why I wouldn't be buying it. Rip off.

Got a quote for a 5kg bag - food grade. With freight, it ends up plenty cheaper than that. Still need to just work out how much it is costing me for my current solution (cream of tartar). Can't remember the size of the little cans off the top of my head. Will look in shed tomorrow.
