I replaced the dark gray stressed fish with one from the larger tank. The large tilapia in the breeding tank almost immediately began to harass this new fish as well. There is a third fish in the breeding that he never seems to bother.

He was so agressive that I soon pulled the big guy from the breeding tank and placed him in the larger tank. This morning, I noticed that the three smaller tliapia in the large tank were now gray as well. He and another large tilapia remain almost pure white.

So, do I eat this guy to teach him a lesson or hope that he will eventually get his way and I will get some fry? He is so large, I would love to have his genes in the next generation but his social skills don't seem to be helping us.

Poor social skills = dead females = no breeding stock.

Eat him.

Third fish is probably male.
