I'm happy, my Strawberry plants have about 25 flowers and Fruit on them!!!

I ate my first bite of a strawberry last week! A field mouse got into the patch and ate a lot of the strawberry's but one of them he only ate half of. So when it ripened i hate one nibble of the intact side. mmmmmmmmmmmm, it was great!!! :D

But i have found that my strawberry's go a bit burn to nthe bottom as they are touching the Scora so i will ed to try and keep them up higher,

:D :D:D:D

Hey F&F, i have found that growing strawberries in a tower seems to restict their growth. As they cant out runners. Do you find any benefit in having them in a tower? :D

I am no expert at strawberries, but I do know that mine do that when the pH is off or there is a nutrient deficiency.

Phosphorus is also an important nutrient for plant growth. Strawberry plants that are deficient in phosphorus develop a purple cast to the older leaves.

While phosphorus demand is low in strawberry plantings, potassium is a nutrient that is needed in high levels. Potassium availability is dependent on the amount of organic matter, the soil texture and many other soil chemistry characteristics. Potassium is important in many plant processes, including enzyme activation, the opening of stomates, protein synthesis, and photosynthesis.

"Nubbins" or "button berries" may be caused by feeding tarnished plant bugs, heavy infestations of cyclamen mites, frost injury, nutrient deficiencies (boron, calcium), inadequate pollination, abnormally high temperatures that make pollen nonviable,
