I've read that the blue spectrum is for vegetative growth and red is for fruiting.

Does this mean that if I have one grow bed dedicated to lettuce, spinach, etc, that I should JUST use blue LEDs? My grow lights are a red-blue mix and they seem to work OK, I'm just wondering if all blue would be more efficient for lettuce? Or do you still need some red in there even for vegetative growth/greens.

Thanks.

I would reccommend keeping some red. Leafy crops will still benefit from red spectrum.
