All my leafy vegetables grow great although they all have a strong tasting bite in their flavor. My peppers did not change size in 4 weeks nor did my eggplants.
My tomatoes grow like crazy, they are plumb tomatoes. When completely ripe they have no flavor at all. If blindfolded I would not be able to identify it as a tomato.
I grew peas they developed fine and produced sweet pods that tasted the way peas should taste. I'm obviously missing something in nutrients.
My Romaine lettuce has grown but has stayed small and will not form a head.

I have a local tropical fish store where the owner is familiar with aquaponics. He's been testing my water for me, PH is good and the ratio of nitrates and nitrites is good.

The tilapia are thriving and look very healthy.

Any suggestions??

Thanks

There shouldn't be any Nitrites, and what did he consider is good for pH and Nitrates?

Nitrates are only a very small part of the plant nutrition picture, and you can have high Nitrates (which is actually not desirable) and still have very little other crucial nutrients, such as Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium, Iron etc, especially if you are removing fish waste solids from the system with filters etc.

What are you feeding the fish, is it a good quality professional grade fish food?

What is the pH and water temp?

Pictures of the plants in question would go a long way to helping diagnose any nutrient deficiency issues, especially close ups of any leaves showing suspected deficiency symptoms, yellowing, dying off around the edges etc.

Here is the food I am using.

http://premiumfishfood.com/aquaculture-aquaponics-fish-food/tilapia-food.html

Water temp is 84F
PH is 7.3 but fluctuates 0.3 +/-

I have a chelated iron supplement that I can add that contains some of these minerals, I'm just not sure how much to add.

Currently I have no idea what the other mineral levels are.

At the time the fish store owner tested the water all the minerals were at what he considered healthy levels.

Pictures will be forthcoming.
