Hello everyone, newbie to aquaponics and this forum. I've been reading it for a while, this is my first post here.
Unfortunately I've decided to post only after I realized I had a problem... I have a 275 gallon IBC for a fish tank, 2 constant flood GB and 2 F&D growbeds, gravty fed from FT, all drain into 275 gallon tote and from there the water is pumped back to FT . I started cycling my system 4 month ago, one GB full of Kale, few weeks later added 20+ goldfish. Once the colonies got established Kale exploded, and I had planned on getting some tilapia now that the weather warmed up... however a few weeks ago kale got fungi, leaves started literally falling off... I've seeded more things in other GB, most sprouted but no more growth... I've just recieved my potassium bicarbonate powder, could someone please help point me in the right direction as to what I should do next? I also have calcium chloride and calcium carbonate (tried experimenting with winemaking) could I use it as a calcium supplement?
