Mini system that the basil came out of.

PH 7.2-7.6
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 180 or more
Alkalinity 30

Fish are doing fine and eating.
Looks like I buffered this one too much up. Must be the dolomite I used. I did a 30% water change last week to decrease nitrates. It must be really high cause it's still off the scale. I'll do another water change today.

in the meantime its ok to use the dolomite but don't over use.. one sign of over use is you ft water look cloudy at morning time.. thats it precipitating out of solution... try to add just enough to maintain pH at 7.. once your nitrates starts to come down.. u will see that the pH starts to stablize for itself.. u should really try to get a filter media close to what I have shown to you.. its a steep learn curve but you will enjoy the benefits at the end..

Thanks for the tips cookie. The mini system doesn't have a mineralization setup. On the big system, If I ever come across some fishing net material I'll change it out. What size cast net did you use? 5ft, 6ft 8ft 10ft radius?
