I lost three but they were on the ground so I assumed that was the problem.

Might be able to keep the fruit flies out by bagging the fruit as it's growing on the vine (if it's not already been hit). Kind of a pain though :dontknow:

I went to see a local Hydroponic/organic garden, the guy that owns it was very helpful, but i speak poor Thai he spoke poor English, anyway translating through the good lady he recommended a spray so say organic based on Neem Oil,Eucalyptus Oil and others.I have done the Googly thing and there seems to be a foundation behind it as a bit of a all round bug spray, has anyone used this had experience with Neem Oil etc ?

Charlie, Scotty i found this little item in a newly discovered Hydro store, the attractant gets dropped onto the wick, three drops every three weeks, only took a couple of minutes for the first culprit to get in,lets see if this helps.

I think Neem oil is bad news for fish, I would not use it on my system, although I once did try it on orange trees to stop grasshoppers, with no luck as it washed off every time it rained.

What variety of fruit fly is that? Attractant baits catch a few, and I have used many over the years in my cherry and apricot orchard for Queensland Fruit Fly, but since I found Cera Traps over 3 years ago, I found there is no comparison, they beat all other attractants by a huge margin. I catch thousands of QFF each year now. Cera Traps also work well for Mediterranean FF.

I have no ideal on what variety, what i do know is half a day there were far to many in the trap,i don’t stand a chance with these numbers,i will google Cera Traps but trouble is its finding what is available here.As for the neem oil i will look into it more before i use it.
